Tuscany Off the Beaten Path
Enjoy breathtaking vistas, from the vineyard-clad Chianti Hills, crowned with medieval castles, to the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with iconic images of isolated clusters of dark green cypress and stone farmhouses—virtual islands scattered in an undulating sea of wheat.
Jane Aurell Croft '61 and Dana Davidson Redmond '60 will welcome us to their homes in a remote ancient hill town north of Rome, connected by a pedestrian causeway to its "younger half." Our specially-designed itinerary will include visits to wine estates, easy walks in engaging medieval towns and the countryside that surrounds them, exquisite private gardens, and with two nights in Florence.
