Q: Why do adult students choose Randolph?
A: Current students have come from as close as Rivermont Avenue in Lynchburg and as far as California and Japan. Most cite the superior academic reputation of the College and the nurturing environment for adult students as their main reasons for choosing Randolph College. Since its founding over a century ago, Randolph College has always recognized the unique challenges of the adult student and has provided services and support to meet those needs.

Q: I've been out of school for a long time. Can I really compete academically with younger students?
A: Absolutely. Adult students enjoy the high regard given them by faculty and traditional-age students. The adult student is often excited to discover that her age is an advantage in terms of motivation, general maturity, and life experience. In fact, most adult students perform exceptionally well academically, and many have received College academic awards. Additionally, deserving adult students are inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Sigma Lambda, and departmental honor societies.

Q: How can I afford to return to school?
